Job summary

Integrated Solutions for Systems (IS4S) is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support Army and Joint warfighting functions from Auburn, AL or Aberdeen, MD. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team on software architecture, use cases, requirements, and test plans to ensure robust integration.

The role requires proficiency in software design, APIs, documentation, and Agile development, with readiness to travel for customer engagements and live testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.
• Experience architecting software solutions and interfaces between components.
• Experience developing use cases and user stories to drive design in an Agile workflow.
• Experience documenting software processes and system artifacts (ICDs, APIs, architecture descriptions).

Responsibilities

• Assist managing the full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment).
• Solve complex integration problems and develop new code as needed.
• Develop and maintain integration documentation (design specs, field mappings, test plans).
• Conduct integration testing and validate data accuracy and integrity.
• Verify adherence to data security and access requirements.
• Communicate with customers, stakeholders, and partner companies.
