Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the Air & Missile Business Unit. The role focuses on developing and maintaining system requirements, MBSE artifacts, and verification criteria for complex software-intensive systems.

The position requires US citizenship, a STEM degree, 5–8 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with Jira/Confluence and Agile practices. Onsite work and an Active Secret clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 5–8 years of systems/software engineering or related experience.
• Experience with software-intensive systems and MBSE concepts.
• Experience creating use cases, activity diagrams, or interface descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain requirements, interface definitions, system models, and verification criteria for complex software-intensive systems.
• Create and update MBSE artifacts and documentation.
• Decompose system requirements into software-level requirements with traceability.
• Coordinate with developers, integration teams, and test engineers.
• Support system integration and verification of distributed or interconnected systems.
• Participate in Agile planning and prepare technical briefings for stakeholders.
