Makpar Corporation is seeking a Software Systems Engineer II to develop, integrate, test, deploy, and support software within an ICAM workstream. You will work on the DHS-approved stack, commit regularly, and maintain unit and automated testing coverage while contributing to secure CI/CD deployments.

This production‑oriented role requires Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and continued involvement after deployment, with strong emphasis on security, accessibility (Section 508), and cross-system

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
• Experience with Hibernate or similar persistence frameworks.
• Experience with Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with MySQL databases.
• Experience using Git-based source control with regular commits.
• Experience developing and maintaining unit or automated tests.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Experience participating in CI/CD software delivery.
• Ability to troubleshoot in non-production and production environments.
• Ability to provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 technical support.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DHS access.

Aufgaben

• Develop, enhance, and maintain software for an ICAM workstream.
• Build application components using Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, and MySQL.
• Commit code daily to the enterprise repository.
• Participate in source-control branching, peer reviews, and release management.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and automated coverage.
• Collaborate with test engineers to resolve defects and validate releases.
• Support CI/CD pipeline execution and zero-downtime deployments.
• Write code that meets security, quality, and performance standards.
• Support integrations between ICAM apps and internal/ external systems.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, data, and performance issues.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 incident support as needed.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain user stories, technical docs, and design materials.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and reviews.
