Job summary

Ariel Partners is seeking a Software Systems Engineer for a fully remote role requiring an Active Secret Clearance. The engineer will develop, test, and document operating software, maintain complex applications, and support OS maintenance across large telecommunications networks and scientific software packages.

Responsibilities include defining specifications, coding, debugging, and evaluating new software products while leveraging manufacturer releases and utilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification, IAT Level I is required.
• Active Secret Clearance required by federal contract.

!!! MUST HOLD ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE !!! The Software Systems Engineer develops and maintains complex operating software applications using manufacturer releases and utilities. This fully remote role designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, supports operating system maintenance, and evaluates software products across all task areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and define specifications for complex operating software programming applications.
• Modify and maintain complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities supplied by the manufacturer.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software programs.
• Provide operating system maintenance, including sophisticated file maintenance routines and support for large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical and scientific software packages.
• Support all phases of software systems programming applications.Evaluate new and existing software products.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5years of relevant experience.
• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification, Category IAT Level I.
