Intel Corporation is seeking an Operations Research Engineer to apply software development and modeling to advance its Manufacturing roadmap. You will work with cross-functional teams to prototype new ideas and address technology challenges, developing strategic software applications and solutions.

The role requires experience in discrete event simulation, factory physics, and statistical data analysis using Python/SQL, JMP, and Excel.

Qualifications

Degree in Industrial, Systems, Operations Research Engineering or equivalent.
Bachelor’s with 4+ years in software development or a Master’s with 2+ years experience.
Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in data analysis using JMP/Excel.
Experience with discrete event simulation tools such as Automod or FlexSim.

Responsibilities

Perform modeling analyses to develop solutions for Intel's Manufacturing roadmap.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry partners on technology challenges.
Create prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate ideas and explore new software methods.
Apply statistical data analysis to interpret modeling results and improve problem solving.
Understand modeling tradeoffs: accuracy vs speed, scaling, tolerances, warm starts.
