Job summary

Leonardo DRS, Inc. in the United States seeks a ​​engineer to support analysis, design, and testing for airborne and intelligence systems. You will perform reliability analyses, FRACAS, and develop robust software with C, C++, and C# while collaborating with engineering teams.

The role requires independent work, strong OO skills, and the ability to review customer specs, estimate costs, and contribute to design for manufacture. Security clearance and DoD experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with C, C++ or C# with a strong object-oriented skillset

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
• Conduct reliability analyses, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and maintain related databases
• Perform FMEA and lead FRACAS engineering process
• Review customer specifications and develop designs including cost as a factor
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
• Specify and evaluate supplier components and services
• Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
• Communicate clearly with team and customers
