Job summary

Humana is seeking a Software Quality Testing Engineer to join our remote team reporting to the Director, Network Operations. You will evaluate software against business standards, isolate defects, and develop test data and procedures to ensure end-user satisfaction.

You will work within the software development life cycle, apply QA methodologies, and make decisions with minimal supervision while aligning with DoD contract requirements for U.S. citizenship and security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or qualifying experience.
• At least 3 years of technical experience.
• Experience developing test data and procedures for ensuring software meets standards.
• U.S. citizenship required for DoD contract and government security clearance approval.
• Master's degree preferred.
• One year Tricare Contract experience is a plus.

The Software Quality Testing Engineer thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements. The Software Quality Testing Engineer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Software Quality Testing Engineer isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

This is a remote position and you will report to the Director, Network Operations.

This position is created specifically to assist with Humana's efforts to secure and, if awarded, transition into a new business opportunity. Please note that continued employment in this role is expressly contingent upon Humana's receipt of the business opportunity and a satisfactory transition into the work. In the event Humana does not pursue the opportunity or determines that a timely and satisfactory transition cannot be achieved, employment may be subject to termination.

Required Qualifications

• You will have a Bachelor's degree or qualifying experience

• You will have experience developing test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements


• Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position and will require approval for a government security clearance (Via National Background Investigation Services NBIS)

• You will have one year Tricare Contract Experience

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$73,400 - $100,100 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
