Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) is seeking a Software Quality Manager to lead QA for software across embedded and cloud-connected platforms. You will drive FMEA and 8D processes, model performance data, and ensure verification and validation checkpoints across sprints and release trains.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Two years of experience in Agile methodologies and firmware validation.
  • Experience with software testing — unit, integration, system, acceptance, performance, and regression.

Job Title: Software Quality Manager

Job Duties

Lead or co-lead the FMEA root cause analysis, 8D process for software defects aligned with enterprise risk controls. Conduct quantitative and qualitative data modeling for software performance, warranty analytics, and release reliability using advanced quality management systems and visualization platforms. Participate in Agile, SAFe, and hybrid development lifecycles to ensure integration of verification and validation checkpoints across sprints, release trains, and product increments. Collaborate with engineering, product management, release, and customer-facing teams to synchronize software quality strategies with technical roadmaps and operational KPIs. Lead pre-production quality activities including requirements of traceability, regression frameworks, automation design, and security vulnerability triage for embedded and cloud-connected platforms. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% of the time. Domestic travel required approximately 15% of the time.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Agile methodologies; firmware validation; developing robust test designs and cases; software testing including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing, performance testing, smoke testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing; and project tracking tools including Jira, Confluence, and Azure. This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
