The Lead QA is responsible for Functional, Regression Testing, and Integration Testing of software Applications.
Lead the designing of Test plans, Test Scenario, Creation and execution of test cases and obtain approval from QA Manager.
Lead QA automation teams (3-5) both on and offshore.
Developing and maintaining test scripts, analyzing bugs and interacting with development team members in fixing the defects.
Responsible for driving software testing lifecycles on a Scrum teams while providing strong technical and analytical skills to deliver with quality.
Analyzing bugs and facilitating bug/defect lifecycle and interacting with development team members in fixing the defects.
Participating in Sprint planning and performing test planning to ensure delivery meets the need of the Sprint.
Manage all testing activities as part of testing lifecycle from planning to execution.
Conducting training sessions to offshore team members as needed on product or processes.
Timely reviews of test plans, test scripts and results to ensure optimal requirement and code coverage.
Regular reporting on issues identified during testing activities and their resolution for any needed corrective actions.
Collaborate with different teams including offshore to understand test and automation needs as part of development cycle.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 -10 years of applications development experience in a fast paced web project leveraging above mentioned technologies.
Understanding of methodologies and delivery of business software solutions with experience in the various SDLC methodologies and working with a DevOps mindset.
5 - 10 years’ experience as a Software Quality Engineer/Test Engineer /Test Analyst.
At least 2-3+ years of leading QA teams both on and off shore.
Extensive experience performing hands-on testing (both script based and exploratory).
Experience in testing Microsoft platform upgrade – platform compatibility testing.
Experience in Client/Server and Web Applications Testing
Very good understanding of various SDLC processes, including agile development and testing.
Self-motivated and able to take ownership of assigned work.
Experience with SQL and data retrieval from a relational database is a plus.
