Job summary

NEOGEN Corporation is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure the reliability of web applications. The role involves creating and executing test cases, participating in Agile development, and coordinating with remote development teams to identify and validate issues throughout the release cycle.

The candidate will join a collaborative QA team, write robust test scripts, and contribute to acceptance and regression testing to maintain high quality across releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT/SE
• 1+ year of web application testing experience
• Foundational QA principles and defect life cycle understanding
• Experience with acceptance testing and regression testing
• Familiarity with Agile practices (sprint planning, standups)

Job description

To support the delivery of reliable web applications, the full-time Software Quality Assurance Engineer will create and execute test cases, participate in Agile development processes, and collaborate with remote development teams to identify and validate software issues throughout the release cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile meetings, providing QA insight and feedback on story requirements and acceptance criteria
• Write and execute clear, effective test cases based on acceptance criteria and perform acceptance and regression testing
• Collaborate with QA Automation Engineers and remote developers to support test coverage and issue resolution

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 1+ years of experience testing web applications in a professional or comparable environment
• Foundational understanding of software quality assurance principles and defect life cycles
• Experience performing acceptance testing, regression testing, and defect verification
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, including sprint planning and daily standups
