Sun Polymers, Inc. is seeking an onsite Software QA for a temporary, part-time role (up to 20 hours/week). The position is limited to about one month with potential extension, located in Indiana (Mooresville).

Responsibilities

• Test with typical IT tasks and web navigation; hardware setup as needed.
• Support codebase if opportunities arise; familiarity with JS/React/SQL/Git preferred.

Job description

Sun Polymers is seeking to fill an onsite Software QA role. This is a temporary part-time position of up to 20 hours per week. Schedule is somewhat flexible and will be finalized with the right candidate as part of the interview and hiring process. Minimum contract length is one month, with the possibility to extend depending on the needs of the business and proficiency of the candidate. We are not looking to relocate a candidate for this temporary part-time position.

The Software QArole is a software development role. Responsibilities include:

• Clarifying and understanding the requirements of the software
• Brainstorming and documenting the test scenarios that verify delivery of requirements
• Set up test environment, deploy software to test environment
• Executing tests, then documenting and presenting results
• Testing the software requires basic computer skills as well as ability to navigate websites and the Internet. Testing also includes using computer peripherals or accessories that integrates with the software.
• Completing IT tasks as needed, including computer hardware setup and configuration, minor software installation, and IT administration tasks.
• Contributing to the code base if the opportunity arises. This requires knowledge and skills of the software development lifecycle. If interested, skills related to Javascript, React, SQL, and Git are preferred.

While not eligible for health and optional insurances, candidates will receive sick and personal time following their initial 30 days. Candidates are eligible for holiday pay from the date of hire.
