Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Software QA Engineer (PLM Systems) to join our client's team, working remotely within the United States. Our client is a leading aerospace/defense firm. This is a Contract role (6+ months) offering the opportunity to focus on quality assurance for critical Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and mentor junior QA team members.

Responsibilities of the Software QA Engineer (PLM Systems):

• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically for PLM systems.
• Identify, document, and meticulously track software defects using Jira.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, development, project management) to understand requirements and design effective testing strategies.
• Perform detailed functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure software quality.
• Coach and mentor junior QA team members, guiding them in test case creation, execution, and QA best practices.
• Ensure all testing activities align with established company standards and QA methodologies.
• Provide clear, regular updates on test progress, defect status, and overall quality metrics.
• Participate actively in requirement and design reviews, offering constructive feedback.

Qualifications of the Software QA Engineer (PLM Systems):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA Engineering or Software Testing, with a focus on software testing and quality assurance, specifically with PLM systems.
• Proven experience testing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is required.
• Proficiency in QA methodologies, test management tools, and defect tracking systems (must be familiar with Jira).
• Hands-on experience with 3DExperience is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with engineering principles and practices; knowledge of CATIA and/or SolidWorks is helpful.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship Required: Mandated by U.S. federal contract requirements; candidate must also reside within the United States.
