About the Role:

The Software Product Verification Engineer is responsible for verification and support of a portfolio of cloud software products comprising the platform for the OfficeSuite UCaaS service. Products include silhouette cloud VoIP application server, NowMessage cloud voicemail application, and OpenLink cloud media server.

The Software Development Teams will create new releases of the different products on an as needed basis, and members of the Software Verification Team will oversee testing the new product versions in a test environment before certifying them for deployment to production. After deployment the verification team will be charged with working with the support teams at the time of the deployment and certifying that the component is functioning as expected in the production environment.

Another role of the verification team will be to work alongside the support team in validating or diagnosing customer reported issues. This may include taking customer reports and attempting to reproduce them in a test environment where more data can be collected for the development teams to resolve the issue and then verify the solution to the defect.

What You'll Do:

1. Software verification using Agile methodology with a focus on ensuring that the products under development meet the specified requirements and maintain high quality.
2. Execute test plans, identify and document defects, and develop test plans for new capabilities.
3. Install, configure and maintain your Linux-based virtual test environment.
4. Work closely with developers, support engineers and other verification engineers to accurately identify and resolve defects.
5. Troubleshooting and technical support of production systems.
6. Working independently as well as working in a cross-functional team.

Do You Have :

1. A technical background in VoIP solutions or UCaaS with experience in Linux and Linux commands, virtualization, security, networking, and high availability is required.
2. Experience working in an IT ticketing platform.
3. Experience with software product verification, software systems support, or development, and knowledge of test methodologies.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
5. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are an asset.
6. 5 years of experience constructing and executing test plans, estimating effort, identifying and documenting defects, and recognizing that the product has achieved the expected quality level.
7. Experience with automated testing and Python is recommended.

The starting compensation range for this job is $67,100 to $88,100.
