Job summary
IPG Photonics in Marlborough, MA seeks a Software Product Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for our software offerings that support and extend our systems portfolio. You will align engineering, customers, and business goals to deliver a clear product vision and drive delivery through development cycles.
The ideal candidate has experience in automation applications or control software, a deep user-centric focus, and a track record of shipping customer-facing software products.
Qualifications
- BS degree in CS/CE/EE or related technical field; MBA a plus.
- 6+ years of experience in software product management with control system background.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum product delivery; ability to write PRDs and user stories.
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for software products within the IPG Systems BU.
- Collaborate with global customers and an international team to shape digital transformation of the IPG Systems portfolio.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to inform positioning and prioritization.
- Present roadmap updates and business cases to senior leadership.
- Gather and translate input from customers, sales, and engineers into market requirements and PRDs.
- Lead sprint/release planning and manage the product backlog with engineering; partner with marketing on usability.
