Job summary

Ishpi Information Technologies, Inc. (ISHPI) is seeking a Principal backend software engineer to lead design and delivery of complex services for government and business clients. This on-site role emphasizes backend systems, microservices, API design, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/CE and five or more years at principal level, plus U.S. citizenship and active government clearance.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum five (5) years of Principal-level experience in software development, backend systems.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Required

Desired Experience

• Eight (8) or more years of Principal-level experience in software development, with a focus on backend systems.
• Five (5) years of experience using microservices architecture and API design using interfaces, protocols, and data formatting.

Security Clearance

Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance.
