Job summary

Swoon in Peoria, IL is seeking a Software Integration (API & Connectivity) Engineer 2 for a 12-month, 100% onsite contract. You will work on API integration, REST API development, and connectivity solutions for client platforms.

The role requires 2–4 years of software engineering experience, a BS in CS/SE (or equivalent), and hands-on experience with DevOps, API testing, and requirements writing. Onsite from day one; relocation not covered; potential for extension or conversion.

12 month contract for a Software Engineerrole with a leading client in Peoria, IL-

Title: Software Integration (API & Connectivity) Engineer 2 #100377

Workplace type: 100% onsite (M-F, 40 hour work week)-open to relocation candidates but MUST be able to be onsite day 1 of contract (max 2 weeks from offer) and relocation is not covered by Swoon or the client

Type: Contract

Pay: $47.33/hour on w2- exact rate no flex

Length: 12 months

Screenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hired

IV process: 1-2 rounds

+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full time

Must haves:

Job Description:

The main function of a software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Modify existing databases and database management systems.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.

Additional Role Details: job activities: creating requirements, managing internal development, and coordinating and performing testing of APIs for integration with external client vendors and internal development teams for 5G eSIM management. Will work with DevOps, onboard software team, backend systems team, and dealer system portal
