Job summary

ASR International Corporation in the Newport News area is seeking a Software/Instrumentation Engineer to lead configuration, operation, and development of ground and flight test data acquisition, display, reduction, and analysis systems. A seasoned professional is needed to support test campaigns in aviation programs.

Responsibilities include configuring PCM, data buses, Ethernet, IRIG-106; reviewing and evolving software (MATLAB, LabVIEW, C++, C#, Visual Basic); supervising junior staff; and

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering with 8 years of data collection/instrumentation experience related to aviation or R&D.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is considered with 6+ years of experience.

Key Duties

• Configure PCM, aircraft data bus, Ethernet, IRIG-106, and related systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering + 8 years (or Master’s + 6 years) of data collection/instrumentation experience related to aviation or R&D.
• Strong CAD/schematic experience. Highly desired: 10+ years of flight test instrumentation experience.
