Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate, and scale the infrastructure for Starlink’s world–class satellite network. You will deploy automation, manage databases, and collaborate with engineers to build scalable, maintainable products.

The role covers development operations, site reliability, and Kubernetes management, with opportunities to work across on‑prem and cloud resources. Competitive compensation and generous benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems/IT, or an engineering discipline, or 3+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 1+ years of professional experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation to deploy and manage on-premise compute resources.
• Deploy and manage core infrastructure such as databases, monitoring and distributed storage.
• Collaborate with software engineers to create highly scalable, operable products.
• Engage in the full lifecycle of services from inception to refinement.
• Invent tools and processes that enable fast, accurate deployment systems.
• Provide fast software validation including virtualized and on-orbit test platforms.
• Monitor and analyze data to support CI/CD and release processes.
• Hands-on integration and troubleshooting across Starlink stack.
• Create and manage core infrastructure and libraries.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
