Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Infrastructure Engineer for Starlink in Washington. The role focuses on designing, operating and scaling the infrastructure behind the world's largest satellite constellation, including on‑premise compute, databases, monitoring and storage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/engineering or 3+ years relevant experience.
• 1+ years of professional Linux experience.
• Terraform and Ansible or similar infrastructure tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation to deploy and manage on‑premise compute resources.
• Deploy and manage core infrastructure such as databases, monitoring and storage.
• Collaborate with software engineers to create scalable, operable products.
• Engage in lifecycle of services from design to deployment and refinement.
• Invent tools and processes enabling fast, accurate development and deployment.
• Provide software validation across virtualized, hardware‑in‑the‑loop, and on‑orbit test platforms.
• Monitor and analyze data to support CI/CD and release systems.
• Hands‑on integration and troubleshooting across the Starlink stack.
• Create/manage core infrastructure and software libraries.
• Identify improvements and enable high developer velocity.
