• Develop migration, backup, recovery, and onboarding guidance.

Salary: $90,000 – $150,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading global technology organisation seeking an experienced Software Infrastructure Engineer – Repository to join its engineering team in Irving, Texas.

This position will focus on establishing and managing secure source-control environments, enterprise repository governance, and artifact-management practices supporting Data, AI, Simulation, Infrastructure, and Test Engineering.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience across DevOps, Software Configuration Management, Git Administration, and Platform Engineering, with responsibility for ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and operate secure source-control and artifact-management practices for Data, AI, Simulation, Infrastructure, and Test assets.
• Design repository structures, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, merging, tagging, releases, and archival processes.
• Configure identity management, team permissions, protected branches, code ownership, secrets controls, and auditability.
• Define approaches for large files, datasets, model artifacts, containers, packages, and reusable components.
• Integrate repositories with CI/CD pipelines, code quality tools, security scanning, issue tracking, and release management.
• Develop migration, backup, recovery, retention, and developer-onboarding guidance.
• Own repository governance and support engineering teams with best practices and onboarding processes.
• Extensive experience in Software Configuration Management, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise in Git Administration and enterprise repository governance.
• Experience with artifact, package, and container registries.
• Strong understanding of secure software supply-chain controls.

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

• GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Azure Repos, or Bitbucket.
• Git LFS and DVC.
• JFrog Artifactory or Sonatype Nexus.
• Software Bill of Materials (SBOM).
• Software signing and provenance controls.
