Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring an SWF Communications Lead to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Candidates must have VA experience. This position will be fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute initiative timelines and deliverables to ensure operational alignment and strategic execution, fostering efficiency in product development and enhancing Veteran service delivery.
• Develop and implement standardized frameworks, toolkits, and process documentation to streamline operations, ensuring scalable and repeatable decommissioning processes and accelerating portfolio rationalization efforts.
• Oversee digital platform strategy and analytics tracking, ensuring focus on high-demand information to improve operational efficiency and digital experiences for Veterans.
• Define and deploy decommissioning workflows for Strike Teams and implementation groups, reducing technical debt and supporting modernized, Veteran-centric solutions.
• Track and analyze product portfolio metrics and progress, ensuring alignment with executive priorities and continuous operational improvements.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
• 12 years of experience (10 years may substitute for education).
• Experience working with Jira, Slack, Mural, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Clearance Requirement

• Ability to obtain and maintain Suitability / Public Trust clearance.
