In this role, you will play a key role in shaping how engineers work, what we deliver to our users, and how we scale our systems. You’ll help elevate system design and engineering practices across the organization, drive the adoption of effective tools and capabilities, and establish a clear and actionable technical vision. Your work will contribute to the technical roadmap that complements the product roadmap, enabling innovation and ensuring quality, scalability, and reliability.
You will align the organization around the technical implications of our product decisions related to user experience, privacy, security, performance, and compliance. Your efforts will ensure our systems meet high reliability standards. You’ll also play a key role in our cultural shift to DevOps, mentoring and developing the next generation of technical leaders.
This role provides strategic technical leadership for our Offering organization, aligning engineering efforts with long-term business goals and customer needs. It involves defining and promoting a clear technical vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader initiatives. The leader represents our Offering team’s requirements across cross-functional groups and champions quality, reliability, performance, and security. Responsibilities include guiding architectural decisions, engaging in hands-on work on key projects, and fostering a practical, outcome-driven engineering approach. Additionally, the role supports a collaborative engineering culture and develops technical leadership through mentorship and coaching.
At Apple, base pay is part of a total compensation package, determined within a range. The base pay range is between $175,800 and $312,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
