About the Role

As a Software Engineering Specialist on the Human Data team, you will be responsible for creating cutting-edge datasets for training large language models. You will collaborate with technical staff to develop datasets for model training, benchmarking, and overall advancement.

Responsibilities

• Curate code examples, provide solutions, and correct code in Python, JavaScript (including ReactJS), C/C++, and Java for AI model training initiatives.
• Evaluate and refine AI-generated code for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI-driven coding solutions to meet quality and performance standards.

Key Qualifications

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Strong experience in Python or JavaScript; experience with ReactJS is preferred for JavaScript-only candidates.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and debugging.
• At least 2 years of industry experience in software development or public proof of work (e.g., GitHub).
• Experience with tools/systems like Databases, SQL, Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, gRPC, and AWS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Adaptability, logical reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Contributions to open source projects or high reputation on platforms like Stack Overflow.
• Enthusiasm for building advanced AI systems.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
• For personal device work, must run Windows 10 or macOS BigSur 11.0+.

Location & Work Details

• This role is fully remote.
• No visa sponsorship available.
• US-based applicants: cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois.
• Must own a reliable smartphone.
• Indicate preference for full-time or part-time work. Full-time is 40 hours/week, with standard hours 9:00-17:30 in your time zone; onboarding during PST hours.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay ranges from $55 to $65 per hour.
• Salary is determined based on experience, skills, and education.
• Benefits vary by country and are available for full-time roles; not offered for part-time.
