Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to blend software development and quality engineering on the Salesforce Platform.

You will apply AI/GenAI tools to accelerate development, testing and deployment, and own end-to-end quality in a hybrid Dev + QA model. You will design scalable web applications, build test suites, and contribute to AI-powered features while collaborating with engineers, QA and product teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Practical experience using AI/GenAI tools in development or testing.
• A related technical degree required.
• 5+ years programming in Java, C or C++, Python, or 3+ years with Master's.
• 2+ years developing on the Force.com platform.
• 2+ years of web development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Expertise with web services (SOAP, REST).
• Strong database concepts and data modeling.
• Expertise in SOQL/SQL.
• Strong QE processes and test discipline.
• Ability to learn quickly and handle multiple projects under deadlines.
• Team player with accountability and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Build applications on Salesforce with a holistic mindset and scalable web frameworks.
• Plan, design and implement scalable frameworks for web apps on desktop and mobile.
• Collaborate with architects and lead engineers on design.
• Implement OO design patterns and coding standards.
• Create test suites following the test pyramid and strive for high coverage.
• Develop unit and functional automated tests in Java and/or Apex.
• Develop test plans and test strategy and manage quality issues to resolution.
• Ensure product quality meets customer expectations.
• Use AI/GenAI tools to speed coding, review and test generation.
• Evaluate AI-based test automation and measure impact on quality.

The Experience

We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) who blends software development and quality engineering to build, test and ship high-quality applications on the Salesforce Platform . You will apply Artificial Intelligence (including GenAI and agentic tooling) to accelerate development and test automation, and own quality end to end in a hybrid Dev + QA engineering model.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Build and Design

• Build applications on Salesforce with a holistic mindset.
• Plan, design and implement highly scalable frameworks for web applications on desktop and mobile.
• Design applications together with architects and lead engineers.
• Implement your vision using object-oriented design patterns.
• Create test suites that follow the test pyramid.
• Strive for 100% test coverage, using the most efficient and maintainable tools.
• Develop unit and functional automated tests in Java and/or Apex.
• Develop test plans and test strategy.
• Diagnose, track and manage quality issues to resolution.
• Ensure product quality meets customer expectations.

AI-Driven Engineering

• Use AI and GenAI tools (e.g. code assistants, agentic workflows) to speed up coding, code review, test generation and defect triage.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-based test automation, such as self-healing tests and AI-generated test cases, and measure their impact on quality and productivity.
• Contribute to or build AI/agent-powered features on the Salesforce platform (e.g. Agentforce, prompt-driven workflows) with attention to responsible and secure AI use.

Collaboration and Delivery

• Champion best practices in SDLC, Agile and software development.
• Work with quality engineers, business analysts and product owners for product delivery.
• Communicate status and risks clearly to the team and manager.

You're Our Person If...

• Practical experience using AI/GenAI tools (code assistants, agentic workflows, AI-driven test automation) in development or testing.
• A related technical degree required
• 3+ years (with Master's) or 5+ years programming in Java, C or C++, Python
• 2+ years developing on the Force.com platform.
• 2+ years of web development with server-side technologies, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Expertise with web services (SOAP, REST).
• Strong database concepts and data modeling.
• Expertise in query languages (SOQL or SQL).
• Strong fundamentals and mastery of QE processes.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly, delivering on multiple projects against aggressive deadlines.
• Team player who motivates people, instills accountability and achieves results.

Even Better If...

• Salesforce Platform Experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Force.com platform knowledge (Apex, Visualforce).
• Salesforce Admin and/or Developer certification.
• Familiarity with Agentforce, Einstein or other Salesforce AI capabilities.
• Engineering and Quality JUnit, Jenkins, Selenium or similar tools.
• Test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration (CI).
• Source control management systems.
• AI-assisted test automation tools (e.g. self-healing or AI test-generation platforms).
• JavaScript SPA development with Lightning Web Components, Angular, React or Vue.
• Scrum team experience with Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of the SaaS model and concepts.
• Ownership of projects and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
