Job summary

Unity in Seattle is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a new team delivering Unity platform support for a key platform partner bringing games to TV and mobile form factors. The role blends technical leadership with people management, focusing on shaping developer workflows and optimizing performance across Linux cloud, Web, iOS and Android.

You will own execution and technical strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on priorities

Qualifications

• Experience leading a high-performance software engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of desktop/mobile/web platform tech stacks and native app APIs.
• Collaborating with product owners and external partners to align on specs and dependencies.
• Proficiency as a software engineer with familiarity in C++, C#, and JavaScript.
• Ability to understand a large, complex software product.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the near-term execution and technical strategy for the team.
• Collaborate with other Unity engineering and graphics teams.
• Communicate the team’s vision and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach engineers, guiding their professional development and career growth.
