Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams and align their work with overall product goals. You will set priorities, coach engineers, and guide the technical roadmap for large-scale infrastructure across sites.

You will design and review architectures, ensure high-quality code, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable, reliable systems while collaborating with cross-functional partners worldwide.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 5 years of Linux/Windows administration in on-prem or cloud.
• 3 years in large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• 3 years in technical leadership.
• 2 years in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate team priorities aligned to goals and strategy.
• Set expectations and provide feedback, coaching and development.
• Develop mid-term technical roadmap for multiple teams and infra.
• Design and review architectures, and write code to solve problems.
• Review peer code to enforce best practices and quality.
