United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a senior security engineering leader to help design and implement security and privacy services for the Command SaaS platform. You will work across product teams to enhance protection of customers and data in a fast-growing environment.

You will guide distributed system security, mentor engineers, and collaborate with the CISO while driving security program maturity.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in engineering management.
• Proven leadership building distributed systems with scale and reliability.
• Strong coding background and daily hands-on coding interest.
• Clear interest in security and privacy products and strategies.

About the Role

The the company Security Team is an engineering team at its core. Part of its charter is to build security and privacy capabilities for the company’s Command Platform. This is an opportunity to create platform services that protect the company customers and data. The role’s broad scope means you will be writing code in a variety of technology stacks and collaborating with engineering teams across all of the company’s products.

What You'll Do

• Partner closely with engineering and product teams to improve the security of the company’s products and exceed customers’ expectations

• Build security and privacy platform services for the company’s Command SaaS platform, then drive adoption of these services across the company

• Expand the adoption of Enterprise-Controlled Encryption in the company’s products

• Collaborate with the CISO to grow the broader the company security programs

• Share your security experience with other teams internally and externally via security conferences, presentations, blogs, and open source

What You Bring

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree or equivalent

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager

• Leadership experience building distributed systems with high quality, scalability and reliability

• Demonstrable coding skills and desire to write code every day

• Enthusiasm for learning about new security & privacy products, features, and strategies

• Excellent collaborative skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication

• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.

Annual Pay Range

At the company, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A the company employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
