Job description

Speridian Technologies is recruiting for a Software Engineering Manager, Coach for our State of California Client; the Department of Healthcare Services, Behavioral Health. This person will be part of a long-term, fully budgeted, state-of-the-art IT modernization project working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

This is a remote role, with meetings in the Sacramento area several times a year. Candidates are expected to work business hours, Monday-Friday, Pacific Time Zone.

Role Overview

The Software Engineering Manager plays a key role in driving organizational excellence by enhancing software development processes and practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles, methodologies, and tools, with expertise in Agile, Lean, and DevOps frameworks.

This role involves assessing current processes, identifying bottlenecks, facilitating workshops, coaching teams, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement are essential.

The manager will champion quality and efficiency, aligning initiatives with business goals, leveraging data insights, and continuously refining strategies for maximum impact. Ultimately, this role promotes continuous learning, adaptation, and improvement, enhancing agility, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
