Job summary

Mindex is seeking a SchoolTool Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams responsible for the continued development of the SchoolTool platform.

You will drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and work across Product, UX, QA, Support, and CloudOps to deliver secure, scalable software solutions. This role requires a collaborative leader who champions modern practices and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years software engineering experience, including leadership across multiple teams.
• Proven experience coaching engineers and managing performance and career growth.
• Experience delivering enterprise software with active customers and regular releases.
• Strong background in scalable architecture and secure development.
• Experience with .NET, C#, RESTful APIs, relational databases, and modern web stack.
• Experience with Blazor, .NET MAUI, design systems, and shared components.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments, deployment automation, observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop multiple software engineering teams through regular one-on-ones, performance feedback, career development, and mentorship
• Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on accountability, continuous learning, and high-quality software delivery
• Support hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession planning to build strong, scalable engineering teams
• Drive delivery execution by managing priorities, balancing customer needs, technical debt, production support, and platform modernization initiatives
• Coordinate release planning, OKRs, cross-team initiatives, risk management, and operational readiness to ensure successful product delivery
• Partner with Product, UX, QA, Support, CloudOps, and other stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes
• Lead technical response efforts for production issues and customer-impacting incidents through effective coordination, communication, and resolution
• Collaborate with senior engineers to define architectural direction, establish engineering standards, reduce technical risk, and improve platform maintainability
• Advance software quality through improved engineering practices, automation, observability, security, and modernization efforts
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted software development across planning, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while promoting responsible AI practices and measurable team outcomes
