Job summary

5V Video is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a high-performing engineering team building and evolving large-scale consumer technology products. You will design, develop and maintain scalable software applications, build new functionality, and enhance existing products while delivering responsive, high-quality user experiences across platforms.

You’ll work with product, engineering and architecture teams to drive technical design and architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Software Developer/Engineer.
• Strong experience with React and modern frontend development.
• Experience with Node.js and developing backend services.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns and application architecture.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging and communication skills.
• Experience within streaming, OTT, media or consumer technology.
• Experience developing applications for connected TV or other consumer devices.
• Knowledge of video playback, streaming protocols or content delivery.
• Experience with technologies such as RDK, Lightning.js, Roku, Android TV, Fire TV or tvOS.
