Job description

About Us:

At Zealthy, our mission is to make high-quality healthcare accessible to everyone, no matter their location. We are building the world’s largest and most trusted virtual healthcare platform, transforming how care is delivered to ensure anyone, anywhere, can receive the healthcare they need.

Founded by a healthcare entrepreneur with a proven track record, including scaling a previous company to a $5B valuation, Zealthy is positioned for sustainable growth as we rapidly scale to achieve our ambitious vision. Our unwavering commitment to quality and accessibility drives everything we do.

We are a team dedicated to serving our patients. While our in-person work culture runs Monday to Friday and typically extends beyond typical work hours, the true reward lies in the impact we create. Every team member is essential in building something groundbreaking. As a full-time team member, you won’t just shape the future of healthcare—you’ll also share in our success through equity ownership, because we believe that every contributor should be a literal and figurative owner of what we’re creating.

If you are not prepared to fully commit to your role and contribute to the goal of creating the world’s largest and highest quality telemedicine company by working in-person four days a week, please refrain from applying.

Join us and help redefine the future of healthcare.

The Role:

We are actively looking for a full-time Full Stack Developer. Please note that this is a full-time, in-person role based in New York, NY. If you are interested in remote or hybrid opportunities, this position may not be suitable for you.

What You'll Do:

  • This engineering manager will be hands on, and will both code as well as manage other engineers.
  • You will report directly and work in tandem with the CEO, and work closely with the rest of the engineering team, product management, and executive leadership to ensure a high-quality experience for users.
  • Scale the team from a team of 5 to a team of 10+ full-stack engineers.
  • Fine-tune the performance of our telemedicine platform, conducting optimizations and enhancements that elevate the quality of care and user satisfaction.
  • Lead architectural discussions and decisions related to telemedicine platform development.
  • Cultivate a virtuoso team of engineers, conducting mentorship programs and career development initiatives that empower them to reach new heights of excellence.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in telemedicine to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as product management, design, and QA to deliver high-quality telemedicine solutions
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities and implement measures to mitigate them.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working at an early stage startup, preferably in the healthcare space.
  • Strong proficiency in software development, with experience in our relevant programming languages (such as Typescript, Javascript, and React).
  • Experience using Supabase preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a technical role, with the ability to inspire and motivate engineering teams. Those with the capacity to serve as a player/coach are preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges and performance bottlenecks in telemedicine platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.

Benefits:

  • Time Off: Paid vacation and sick leave, increasing with tenure. Flexible time off handled case-by-case.
  • Holidays: Paid for major US holidays.
  • Equity & Reviews: Equity ownership with regular performance reviews that can impact salary and/or equity.
