Genova Technologies, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of software solutions. You will participate in coding and implement improvements based on functional and technical requirements.

You will develop system and software requirements, document changes to requirements, and provide clear guidance to development teams. Telecommuting may be allowed on a case-by-case basis, with a 40-hour work week.

Formación

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field (employer will accept advanced degree).
• 24 months of experience in job offered, Systems Engineer, Graduate Student, or closely related.
• Experience delivering Quality Engineering deliverables including DFMEAs, Design Validation Plans, and Test Reports.
• Experience developing hardware–software interfaces for machine control.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, and delivery of software solutions with direct coding involvement.
• Develop and document system/software requirements and component specifications.
• Develop and implement test cases and acceptance criteria; document results clearly.
• Apply tools to support integration and delivery, including debugging and analysis tools.
• Report findings and project updates to clients and management in written and oral form.
• Provide coaching and professional development guidance to embedded engineers.
• Manage one or more project budgets ensuring delivery within budget.
• Role based out of Cedar Rapids, IA HQ with telecommuting allowed case-by-case.

Descripción del empleo

• 1. Lead the design, development, and delivery of software solutions, which includes direct participation in coding and implementation to drive improvements to product quality and customer satisfaction through the analysis and documentation of functional and technical requirements.
• 2. Develop and document system and software requirements, including component specifications and changes to requirements documentation, ensuring development teams have clear and actionable guidance
• 3. Develop and implement test cases and procedures, or define acceptance criteria and requirements validation approaches, and record results in an organized and understandable manner.
• 4. Apply appropriate tools and techniques to support the integration and delivery process, including software debugging tools, requirements analysis tools, or system design methods
• 5. Report findings, processes and final solutions to client, management and team members on a consistent basis through presentations, demonstrations or in writing, including serving as a point of contact for relationship management, project updates, and issue resolution.
• 6. Provide software engineers with administrative oversight, annual performance evaluations, ongoing feedback and coaching, and professional development guidance for employees embedded within client teams
• 7. Manage one or more project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring contracted work is delivered within budget.
• 8. Various Worksites: Position is based out of Cedar Rapids, IA HQ but telecommuting is permitted on a case-by-case basis.

Education Requirements

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related. Employer will accept advance degree in the same field.

Experience Requirements

24 months of experience in job offered, Systems Engineer, Graduate Student, or closely related.

• 1. Experience with Quality Engineering deliverables, including DFMEAs, Design Validation Plans, and Test Reports
• 2. Experience developing next-generation electrical system and component requirements through collaboration with key stakeholders, product benchmarking, and input from industry standards.
• 3. Experience with project scope and requirements to guarantee that it aligns with future technology trends and partner with the advanced engineering team to prepare roadmaps to deliver new features and functions.
• 4. Experience developing hardware-software interface for the control of machines considering requirements and realization possibilities.
• 5. Experience confirming the allocating of software functions across electrical modules enables optimal control system performance and meets software architecture design needs.
• 6. Experience resolving technical issues by applying problem-solving techniques and facilitating cross-functional support from the Engineering and Test Organizations
• 7. Experience working with Electrical and Mechanical departments in the development of our products to meet customer specifications.
