Job summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking a Lecturer of Software Engineering in the Department of Software Engineering and Game Development. The nine-month, full-time position supports multiple campuses and starts January 1, 2027.

The lecturer will teach three first-year programming courses, deliver instruction in person, hybrid, and online formats, and participate in program development while advising students and collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an earned Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Computing or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching online or hybrid college-level courses.

Responsibilities

• Teaching three first-year fundamental programming and computing systems courses per semester (approximately 120 students per course).
• Delivering instruction across face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities, during daytime and evening hours, on both the Marietta and Kennesaw campuses.
• Participating in course and program development activities.
• Working collegially with faculty colleagues across the department.
• Providing student teaching and clinical supervision as needed.
• Advising students on academic and course planning.
