Job summary

Notre Dame is seeking a motivated student in computer engineering/science to assist in designing, developing, and building applications in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will evaluate new features with stakeholders and gain a technical understanding of the platform stack to estimate effort.

You will work on APIs using REST/GraphQL, participate in testing practices, and contribute to SaaS-related projects while being located in West Palm Beach, FL or Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Practical experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience deploying web services or applications on cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to author automated test coverage for unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with test-driven or behavior-driven development methodologies.
• Experience developing APIs using REST or GraphQL design patterns.
• Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred.
• Flexibility to be located in West Palm Beach, Florida, or Atlanta, Georgia.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with a passion for cutting-edge technology and a collaborative work ethic.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle from customer needs to product release.
• Knowledge of reusable software services and infrastructure development.
• Familiarity with open-source software development tools and methodologies.
• Some experience or knowledge in Software-as-a-Service product development, code review, requirements analysis, serverless design patterns, Agile/Scrum methodology, and source control management tools such as Bitbucket, AWS CodeCommit, CircleCI, and git.
