Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Summer Intern for its internship program in San Jose, CA. You will work on a primary project over 10–12 weeks, with hands-on coding in Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript and exposure to ML/NLP topics.

The program provides onboarding, professional development sessions, networking events, and paid opportunities. Applicants should be pursuing CS/CE degrees and be able to work in-office in San Jose.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Solid foundation in at least one object-oriented language (Python, Java, or C++).
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures and distributed computing.
• Ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: familiarity with ML/NLP, Spark, Ray, cloud, containers (Docker/Kubernetes) or React/Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Develops software components or applications in Python/Java/C++/JavaScript.
• Participates in testing, debugging, and unit/integration testing activities.
• Works within Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborates with the team.
• Creates scripts for data processing, deployment automation, and CI/CD workflows.
• Writes technical specs and user guidance for new features.
