Job summary

Proception Inc. is seeking a motivated student intern to join the platform team and help build data infrastructure powering robotic learning systems.

You’ll develop high‑performance logging pipelines, and create visualization tools for multimodal sensor data to support AI teams training better robotic policies. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to real-time systems across embedded hardware, cloud, and simulation, work with tools such as ROS, RViz, and MuJoCo, and receive mentorship from engineers

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in CS, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience with Python and at least one of Rust or C++.
• Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience with real-time data, logging, or streaming systems.
• Familiarity with ROS, bag files, or robot data formats.
• Experience with visualization tools like RViz, Rerun, or dashboards.
• Exposure to MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, or other robot simulators.
• Understanding versioned data formats such as MCAP, Cap’n Proto, Protobuf.

Responsibilities

• Help implement tools for logging and replaying multimodal robot data (vision, force, tactile).
• Assist calibration and time synchronization of sensor streams.
• Build or extend infrastructure for structured robot data storage.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to improve tools used in policy training pipelines.
• Gain exposure to real-time systems across embedded hardware, cloud, and simulation.
• Mentorship from engineers working on high-performance robotic infrastructure.
