Job summary

Range is seeking Software Engineering Interns for a summer program to work with experienced engineers and contribute meaningful code to our production platform from day one. The role is based at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA, and is a part-time in-office position.

You'll collaborate across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, build real features, and gain hands-on experience across the full stack in a dynamic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with expected graduation between 2027 and 2028.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
• Eagerness to work across the stack—frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

About the Role

We're looking for Software Engineering Interns to join our team for a summer internship. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to build real features that impact our members, gaining hands-on experience across the full stack. This isn't a side project internship—you'll contribute meaningful code to our production platform from day one.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028)




• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages




• Eagerness to work across the stack—frontend, backend, and infrastructure




• Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity for learning new technologies quickly




• Excellent product instincts—you think about users first, not just the most elegant technical solution




• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment where you won't always be told exactly what to do

Bonus Points

• Experience building web applications with React and TypeScript
