Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION seeks a Software Engineering & Development (Workday Integrations Specialist) to build and sustain Workday integrations from HCM, Payroll, and Time modules. The role is hybrid in Quincy, MA with US-wide telecommuting options.

Responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of integrations, collaborating with HR and vendors, and ensuring secure data transfers via Autosys and NDM. Strong Workday, XML, and scripting skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of software development experience, including three years supporting human capital management and payroll systems.
  • Three years of Workday Integration experience.
  • Experience with Workday Studio, Report Writer, Document Transformation, XLST, XML, EIB, Workday Connectors, SOAP and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Build, implement, and maintain inbound and outbound integrations within the Workday application.
  • Collaborate as a team member to support all integration-related activities.
  • Create new inbound and outbound integrations from Workday HCM, North America Payroll, and Time/Absence modules.
  • Oversee the complete project lifecycle, including status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Support and enhance existing integrations to/from internal and external vendors.
  • Schedule integrations and monitor schedules, error logs, and delivery processes.
  • Develop and maintain Autosys job schedules using JIL.
  • Troubleshoot Autosys file delivery processes.
  • Build and maintain Unix shell scripts that execute NDM and SFTP file transfer commands used in Autosys processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production integration file creation and delivery issues.
  • Create action plans to resolve issues promptly and prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in semi-annual release testing of integrations.
  • Advisory resource on new Workday integration release features.
  • Participate in design, development, testing, and implementation of new and updated integrations.
  • Create or update system documentation.
  • Partner with HR and vendors during integration build, test, and deployment.
  • Participate in governance activities related to onboarding new applications for the GHR Portfolio.
  • Manage and support data extraction and migration from legacy GHR applications.
  • Understand roles, permissions, entitlements, and approval workflows across global HR applications to support Identity and Access Management implementations.

Location: State Street Bank and Trust Company, Quincy, Massachusetts. Hybrid telecommuting permitted within the U.S.

  • Proven experience with Workday Studio, Report Writer, Document Transformation, XLST, XML, EIB, Workday Connectors, SOAP and REST APIs.
  • Experience building and maintaining Workday calculated fields and integration security.
  • Proficiency in building Unix shell scripts for file transfers.
  • Strong knowledge of Autosys job scheduler and Job Information Language (JIL).
  • Knowledge of Network Data Mover (NDM) for secure file transfer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Workday HCM and security administration.
  • Technical and functional knowledge of HR systems and applications including Workday, Peoplesoft, and Sailpoint.
  • Competency across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task with tight deadlines, independently and within a team.

Salary

Salary Range: $178,131 - $195,944 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location, the applicable range could differ.
