Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern/Co-op to join our Greenville, SC team in a hybrid/remote position. You will work closely with our experienced engineers on real-world projects that impact clients and the industry, developing and maintaining software solutions while learning engineering practices.

This internship provides hands-on software development experience in automation and offers exposure to industry-leading tools and collaborative

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
• Basic proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
• Strong desire and intention to pursue a career in software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or maintain a wide range of software solutions.
• Demonstrate flexibility, both in terms of the nature of assignments and working hours.
• Take an active role in learning the skills necessary to accomplish assigned tasks through a combination of self-study and engaging experienced team members for guidance/instruction.
• Make positive contributions to the company in response to the training provided.
• Approach all assignments with an appropriate sense of urgency in order to meet required timelines.
• Travel as necessary to complete assignments.
