Title: Software Engineer - WS02 Micro Integrator

Pay Rate: $65-$70

Length: 9+ Months

Location: Remote, MN

Description: York is hiring! We are looking for a software engineer WS02 for a 12+ month project (possibly converting). Position is 100% remote.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Participates in the schedule definition, system design, scope definition and development/selection of software solutions.
2. Works on team or independently to research and define user requirements and understand their needs, address those needs, handle problems as they arise, and escalate issues as required.
3. With minimal direction, works to formulate system scope, objectives, requirements, and design documentation.
4. Works with team to provide information and development schedules for assigned work.
5. Creates appropriate documentation for all application modifications and new development.
6. Develops applications/enhancements within defined architecture and following the predefined processes/methodologies.
7. Proactively communicates with and coordinates activities with other team members.

Provides Support for Solution Team:

1. Works with team members to develop, maintain and improve critical internal and external production applications.
2. Works with Infrastructure and Service Desk teams to identify, diagnose and remediate production system issues.
3. Provides timely status updates for assigned work to the team members and leadership.
4. Researches the changing marketplace to keep current with technology and upgrades.
5. Provides production system support as needed.
6. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Working knowledge of the development life cycle including testing process and methods, variable programming fundamentals, conditional execution, data structures, compilation and debugging tools.
2. Professional software development experience that includes programming experience with WSO2, Java, JSF (Java Server Faces), Web Services (SOAP), Oracle & Microsoft SQL database.
3. Git, Automation tools (e.g. Terraform), experience developing software in an agile environment with CI/CD.
4. Basic knowledge of Agile and object-oriented software development methodologies is required.
