Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen eligible for government security clearance.
• Valid U.S. Passport.
• Able to travel periodically across the U.S. and overseas.
• BS degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Programming experience in C, C++, and Java.
• Experience in instrumentation control, automated data acquisition, or DSP.
• Experience designing system architecture.
• Proficiency in high-level technical decision making.

Responsibilities

• Writing code, developing software components, and performing feature integration.
• Manage existing codebase.
• Transform technical requirements into code.
• Document software requirements and design specifications.
• Provide RF testing including antenna radiation patterns, communication systems, Data Links, EW, Radio Direction Finding systems and radars.
• Provide support to fleet forces at U.S. homeports and mobile test platforms.

Required:

• U.S. Citizen eligible for government security clearance.
• Valid U.S. Passport.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and respond to feedback
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience working through the Software Development Life Cycle
• Programming experience in C, C++, and Java.
• Experience in one or more of the following fields:
• Instrumentation Control
• Automated Data Acquisition
• Digital Signal Processing
• Experience designing system architecture
• Proficiency in making high-level technical decisions. Desired:
• Software development experience using C++ Builder, IntelliJ/Eclipse, LabWindows/CVI.
• Experience with CI/CD
• Experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) development
• Active/recent U.S. government security clearance.
• Physical Requirements:
• Talk, hear, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, prolonged standing/sitting.
• Vision: distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
• Frequent lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
