Job summary

Geologic is seeking a Software Engineer with an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance to design and develop software for satellite ground systems in Aurora, CO. This role requires U.S. citizenship and offers a rate of $90-$112/hr without benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of software engineering experience using Java and C++. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred. This is an onsite position with a duration of 12+ months.

TITLE: Software Engineer with ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

RATE RANGE: $90/hr - $112/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO - an hour worked is an hour paid)

CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

LOCATION: Onsite in Aurora, CO 80011 (no relocation package)

DURATION: 12+ months

No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099 - US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
• Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

What You Will Learn

• A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design
• Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques
• Satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations

Required Skills

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience developing software using Java and C++
• Red Hat 8 Linux OS and Windows 2019 OS experience or similar experience
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI clearance is also acceptable. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
