Role Overview

The Software Engineer will work closely with a major insurance client, engaging in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and maintenance. The role involves taking ownership of tasks, improving processes, and sharing knowledge within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor team members to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate tasks to meet project milestones.
• Support requirements analysis and defect resolution.
• Develop interfaces using Mainframe COBOL and JCL.
• Participate in all phases of software development.
• Analyze user needs to align solutions with business strategies.
• Share knowledge and guide less experienced team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Life Insurance Annuity Platforms, especially wmA/Vantage-One.
• Proficiency in mainframe technologies (COBOL, DB2, SQL) and Microfocus.
• Experience with system migrations and integrations.
