Prodigy One, LLC is a systems and software engineering firm delivering big data, cloud development, and enterprise management solutions for state and federal customers. The Software Engineer role requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and is based in Annapolis Junction, MD, with options to sit in Englewood, CO, San Diego, CA, or Alexandria, VA.

The role focuses on transforming Agile user stories into deployed capabilities within a scalable, BDD-driven SDLC.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated experience with Java.
• Must have experience or familiarity with multiple Java frameworks: Spring to include Boot and Data, Java EE i.e., JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlet, Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX.
• Must have experience or familiarity with multiple languages such as Javascript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, Structured Query Language SQL.
• Must have experience with development IDEs such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm.
• Must have experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Must have experience with Web Application User Interface Development, knowledge of databases and structures, Spring Framework, and/or experience working with AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
• Must have experience with software source control and configuration management tools.
• Must have experience developing on Windows operating systems.
• Must have documented professional experience with web services.
• Must have a strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices.
• Must be able to plan and prioritize personal tasking and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Transforms Agile user stories into fully implemented and deployed capabilities within a full SDLC.
• Develops, tests, integrates, and deploys scalable solutions in a Behavior-Driven Development framework.
• Leverages DevOps practices and automation to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery.
• Contributes across server-side business logic, client-side web applications, and UI development within a diverse technology stack.
• Participates in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and PI planning; analyzes complex system requirements; promotes code reuse and cross-team collaboration to reduce maintenance costs.
• Supports software process management, creates shared functions/components, and develops automation scripts across development, test, and production environments.
