Job summary

Etegent Technologies, a defense-focused technology company, is seeking a Software Engineer to transition data exploitation algorithms from R&D into production-ready software for DoD and IC customers. The role is based in Dayton, OH with on-site work at customer facilities.

The ideal candidate will navigate all phases of the software lifecycle, including support for AFRL or NASIC contexts. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in CS/Software Eng (Master’s preferred), experience in software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Active TS security clearance is required.
• Experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience with data visualization tools or libraries.
• Object Oriented software development knowledge.
• Unit testing tools/methodologies knowledge.
• Experience with Linux OS.

Responsibilities

• Write efficient, modular, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with ML scientists and engineers building data analytics tools.
• Develop customized tool sets to accelerate ML data curation and quality checks.
• Develop ML pipelines to support research, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Build visualizations of complex numerical data.
• Develop signal processing chains for large sensor data with near real-time results.
• Design and implement optimized, low-level code on embedded hardware.
• Design and implement end-user applications leveraging ML algorithms.
• Build ML/vision systems for analysts.
• Architect user interfaces/APIs for simulation, exploitation, and analytics.
• Identify architectures and tool sets to support design implementations.
• Develop database schemas and interfaces for HPC/Cloud environments.
• Assist in monitoring and directing project schedules, resources, and costs.
• Report on software development status and demonstrate software to customers.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects.
