Job summary

Point72 is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and build real-time treasury and financing systems. You will develop scalable C#/.NET services and APIs with low latency, and contribute to front-end work using React for intuitive internal tools.

You will collaborate with traders, funding managers, and operations to translate business requirements into production software, while advancing DevOps practices and automated testing across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• 6–10 years of OO programming with C#/.NET in a financial domain.
• Experience with React or modern front-end frameworks in production.
• Strong SQL Server experience including schema design and query tuning.
• Experience writing automated tests and applying TDD practices.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, observability, and Docker.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Experience supporting production applications across time zones (USA, Poland, India).
• Excellent communication skills and ethical standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build high-impact, real-time treasury and financing systems used across global trading time zones, delivering tools that materially change how desks operate
• Design and implement scalable C#/.NET services and APIs that process trades, financing, and liquidity data with low latency and high reliability
• Partner with traders, funding managers, and operations to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into production software
• Lead the adoption and continuous improvement of DevOps practices within the team, including source control, continuous integration, and automated deployment workflows
• Develop responsive front-end components using React or another modern front-end framework to create intuitive internal user experiences
• Implement comprehensive automated testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and test-driven development workflows
• Operate and support production systems: diagnose and resolve elevated software incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement proactive remediation measures
• Identify, evaluate, and introduce new technologies and architecture patterns to improve performance, reliability, and developer productivity
• Collaborate and mentor as part of a distributed development team across the USA, Poland, and India to scale the platform and grow team capabilities

WHAT'S REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another technical or scientific field
• 6 to 10 years of object-oriented programming experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem in a financial domain
• Working knowledge of React or another modern front-end framework with production development experience
• Significant experience working with relational databases, primarily Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design and query tuning
• Demonstrated experience writing automated tests and unit tests and applying Test-Driven Development practices
• Knowledge of software design and architecture patterns, distributed systems, microservices, observability and monitoring practices, and containerization with Docker
• Experience implementing DevOps practices and using source control and continuous integration tools such as GitHub, GitLab, and Jenkins
• Proven experience providing production application support, diagnosing incidents, and implementing remediation and stability improvements
• Experience working as part of a distributed development team across multiple time zones (USA, Poland, India)
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
