Base-2 Solutions in Maryland is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for national defense and critical missions, applying secure coding practices and modern SDLC methods.

You will collaborate with system engineers, DevOps, and stakeholders, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and help implement scalable, robust software across platforms while adhering to NIST, DoD, RMF, and other security

Formación

• Strong programming skills across multiple languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Scala).
• Experience with software development frameworks such as Spring, Angular, React, Node.js, Bootstrap, .NET.
• Familiarity with IDEs and tools including Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio, VS Code, PyCharm, NetBeans.
• Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows/macOS operating systems.
• Knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server).
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SVN.
• Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Bamboo, Ant.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP and cloud-native development.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, DoD STIGs, RMF, ICD 503.
• Experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python for automation.

Responsabilidades

• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software applications and systems based on customer requirements.
• Participates in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Writes clean, efficient, and well-documented code in various programming languages.
• Conducts code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and troubleshooting to ensure software quality.
• Collaborates with system engineers, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to integrate software solutions into larger systems and platforms.
• Identifies opportunities to improve existing software systems and recommends enhancements or optimizations.
• Ensures adherence to security best practices and compliance standards (NIST, DoD, RMF).
• Develops and maintains technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and system diagrams.
• Supports deployment, version control, and configuration management processes.
• Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
