Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Test & Privacy Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to address testing gaps.
  2. Collaborate with infrastructure and product engineering teams to enable automated testing.
  3. Manage projects independently by tracking progress, reporting status, escalating risks, and resolving obstacles.
  4. Promote a culture of quality within Meta’s Tech Audit and Centralized Privacy teams by advocating for high standards, escalating issues found by automation, and educating teams on testing importance.
  5. Design and develop high-quality automated tests to ensure privacy compliance and release readiness.
  6. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, along with at least two years of relevant work experience. Specific experience required includes:

  1. Programming in C, C++, Java, or C#
  2. Experience with Python, Bash, MATLAB, or Haskell
  3. Proficiency in Unit and Integration Testing
  4. Experience with Linux, UNIX, or similar *nix OS, including file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
  5. Knowledge of core web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  6. Ability to perform root cause analysis of software issues
  7. Developing software tests and test frameworks
  8. Experience in data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction

Public Compensation: $194,628 to $229,900 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
