Job summary

Cboe Global Markets in Chicago seeks a Software Engineer, Test (QA) to support the Clearing platform. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams across U.S. Clearing Systems to ensure new features work as intended.

The role emphasizes manual and automated testing with a focus on automation, building robust test frameworks, and delivering releases that are stable and customer-friendly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of QA experience with automated test case creation and framework enhancement.
• Experience with Cucumber BDD framework and reporting.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or other UI automation tools.
• Proficiency in Java and Python for testing; scripting knowledge a plus.
• API testing including REST and SOAP.
• Strong OO design and programming knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and MongoDB; SQL proficiency required.
• Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Claude Code).
• Unix/Linux experience, preferably RHEL-based.
• Familiarity with FIX 4.4, Swift, Kafka (plus).
• Git experience; CI tools like Jenkins or Bamboo; Atlassian suite (plus).
• Excellent analytical skills and cross-functional communication.

Role Overview

Software Engineer, Test (QA) supporting the Clearing platform. Work across U.S. Clearing Systems groups, collaborating with engineering and product teams to ensure new features and functionality perform as expected.

Salary Range (U.S.)

Base salary range: $102,850 – $133,100. Compensation may also include annual incentives and long‑term equity participation.
