Capstone Technology Partners is seeking a Software Engineer to join our defense-focused team in Hanover, MD. Proficiency in Java development and experience with PKI and REST services are essential to support data labeling capabilities and secure integrations.

The role involves collaborating with developers across the lifecycle, writing tests, documenting findings, and contributing innovative ideas to address data marking challenges while maintaining policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Understanding of unit and integration testing

• Experience debug–ing in an IDE as a containerized service
• Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO and CUI standards

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to collaborate with our developers in implementing new capabilities that support evolving data labeling requirements. Proficiency in Java development is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong software development background, capable of contributing to both development and enhanced testing initiatives. Active participation throughout the software development lifecycle is expected. We are looking for a proactive individual with innovative ideas to help the team address data marking challenges while maintaining compliance with relevant policies. Must Have:

• Understanding of unit and integration testing
• Familiarity with PKI and REST services
• Have the ability to evaluate user issues, create and document tests to reproduce in development environments
• Familiar with debugging code using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) as a containerized service
• Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO and CUI standards
• Experience Performing Development in the eVo environment to include familiarity and use of tools in the environment (GreyBox etc.)
• Perform software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
• Use of Gitlab, CI/CD, build pipelines
• Containerize existing software capabilities using Docker
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
• Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the application.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills- able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts.
• Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML
• Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines.

Requires:

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with MD polygraph
• 3 years software engineering experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer science disciplines. An additional 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 7 years.
